Volunteer Jobs
Below is a brief description of some of our volunteer positions. For more information on family volunteer requirements, check our Volunteer Requirements page.
Swim Meet Volunteering
Each position below is for half of a swim meet. You can sign up for the morning, the afternoon or both.
Concessions (3 points) assist in the preparing and selling of food, including setting up or taking down/clean up depending on shift.
Lane Timers (3 points) are assigned to a specific lane and times each event; two timers are placed in each opponent lane and one-timer in each LF2 Dolphins lane.
Deck Monitor (3 points) keeps order on the pool deck during the meet and remind all swimmers that no one is allowed in the diving pool or "kiddie" pool during the meet.
Runner (3 points) gathers time sheets from the lane writer and DQ sheet from the officials, then delivers to scoring room.
Swimmer Staging (3 points) lines up 5-8 year old swimmers prior to their events and escort them to the correct lane. Also assist coaches in locating swimmers at away meets
Lane Writers (3 points) are assigned to a specific lane and records the name of the swimmer and their times for each event. One for each LF2 Dolphins lane at both home and away meets
Heat Winner (3 points) gives each heat winner a ticket to redeem for a treat
Parking Monitor - AM only (2 points) monitors the parking lot during the beginning of the meet to ensure that the club's reserved spots are not taken by families attending the meet.
Setup - AM only (1 point) show up at 6:30 a.m. to help put up all equipment (i.e. canopies, timing system, PA system, tables, chairs, move and store LF2 Sun &d Sail patio equipment.)
Takedown - PM only (1 point) stay after the meet to help take down and store all equipment, then restore LF2 Sun & Sail patio equipment to their original locations
Non-Meet Volunteering
There are also volunteer opportunities outside of our swim meets for things such as
