Greetings Dolphin Families!

Due to popular demand the Lake Forest II Dolphin Swim Team has now created a year round program. There will be several sessions that you can pick and choose from and the practices will take place at the Sun & Sail Club.

Practices will only be 1 hour a day, 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday & Friday Swimmers will be placed in a Bronze, Silver or Gold group based on their swimming ability.

The sessions are as follows:

Registration fees are $70 per child per session.

There are no Meets scheduled currently, for this program. This program is to enhance our swimmers, make them stronger and faster and to improvement on their times which will help for the upcoming summer season.

The 2008 Winter Mail-In Registration for the 1st sessions starts…
Monday, August 4th through August 30th by 12:00 noon.

Please come and join our new Winter/Spring 2008/2009 Dolphin Swim Program with Head Coach, Sam Gelberger, Abe Aguilar & Melissa Degregorio. It’s time to get our Dolphin Swim Team into a year round program and be as successful as our summer swim season is.

To register, please complete and mail-in:

• Registration Form
• Medical Release Form
• Code of Conduct Form
• Payment (check preferred or exact cash amount)

The team can only accept a limited number of participants (80 swimmers per session), therefore; all registrations will be added if space permits and it will be 1st come 1st serve for this program.

There will be no late Registration allowed so please make sure your forms are in by no later than
August 30, 2008 for the 1st session.

Dear Dolphin Families,

Can you believe it? The season is already over!

As I reflect through this season, I realize that one of the main reasons why this went so fast for me was because I was having so much fun this time!

If you remember my first President's message, I mentioned how everything is a "Trickle Down Theory" and this season proved that theory.

If the Coaches are happy, then the kids are happy.
If the kids are happy, then the parents are happy.
If the parents are happy, then the Board is happy.

And finally...
If my Board is happy, then I am happy!

I want to thank all of you for your support and enthusiasm. It truly was a wonderful sight to see. It also was fantastic that all the families stepped up and took responsibility and ownership of their various volunteer duties throughout the season. That was a huge improvement and success compared to last season.

This team's philosophy has always been... "A recreational team with a competitive edge". I think we really proved it this season. The other league teams know we are coming back and on the upswing.

I'm excited to see all of you next year. Mark your calendar now, our Summer Registration Day is tentatively planned for Sunday March 1st 2009. Look for information on our website and Mainsheet in Feb.

PS. If you have not picked up your trophies, please contact Julie O'Sullivan anytime after NEXT Friday. She will be on vacation from now until then. After you contact her, she will arrange for you to get your trophy. Also, the Dolphin Board has a fun recap DVD for you to enjoy. It's a gift to you from us and it's only 1 per family. If you already got one at the banquet, please do not pick up another one or if by accident you picked up more than 1 DVD we would appreciate you returning it. We only have enough for 1 DVD per family. These DVD will be with Julie also. Thanks again and we'll see you next season.
